2. Gas cooktop with a downdraft vent
Full replacement
The old cooktop came out, the cutout was cleaned and prepped, and the new cooktop went in along with a downdraft vent that rises from the countertop. All five burners were tested before we finished.
3. Island hood suspended from the ceiling
Ducted through the roof
Frame, ductwork and hood built from scratch over an island. The duct ended up hidden inside the hood chase and the unit came out perfectly plumb.
4. Pro-style hood in a high-end kitchen
Over a quartz backsplash
In kitchens at this level the tolerance is a fraction of an inch: the hood has to sit centered with the cabinet, dead plumb, and without ever touching the quartz backsplash.
5. Hood and microwave, both vented outside

Two vented appliances in the same kitchen, each with its own duct run and its own fit to the cabinet opening.
